Sunday June 30th 2024 Osceola to Lake Ontario - c. 58 miles on route, no detours just 3 miles getting back on the route from last night's camping.

Today was an excellent day for cycling - just a bit of a headwind at times. No punctures occurred thank goodness, and although the bike shop was not open on a Sunday (or tomorrow either) we did find our inner tubes in a gigantic Walmart near the campsite North Lake Campground. The road out of Osceola was predominantly downhill as we approach the Great Lakes , just a few steep hills before more level or downhill road. We found a nice park but no food at Pulaski - even a functioning water fountain. Food was again obtained from a filling station. Poor food really and at an inflated price. But we did reach Lake Ontario at Mexico Point near Texas, NY. Brisk onshore breeze. See the photo - myself with Great Lake. Then on to Fulton where once more the library wifi was a great help - google maps could now show us the Walmart store just beyond our campsite. My cup of joy it did run over when I beheld three inner tubes in our size. That plus a big shop for dinner was crammed into our bags and we headed for the North Lake Campground on Lake Neutawanta, two miles out of town and about a mile from Walmart. Nice to have salad and organic tomatoes for dinner, with malty wholemeal bread plus a curious beer - Coor's Banquet Beer 1873. Pretty good and a modest 5%.
